Hello Everyone,

I have registered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training to run the Motorola marathon in Austin on February 15, 2004! Yes, that is a 26.2 mile run. Some of you may wonder what I have gotten myself into.

Team in Training is the world’s largest physical endurance and fundraising program that provides coaching and training for amateur athletes. In return for their assistance, TNT asks that each one of its members fundraise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its fight against blood related cancers.

Over the next 5 months, in addition to my own daily training, every Saturday at 7am rain/shine I will meet with my teammates to train for this marathon. How am I going to get through this, you ask? When all else fails, my inspiration and motivation will come from my honored heroes. The challenges I have yet to face are nothing compared to the challenges that these heroes face every day.

I am asking for you support. Over 75% of my personal goal of $2,000 will go back to The Society for research, patient services, advocacy and education. My goal is to raise the amount in donations for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by December 15, 2003. NO DONATION IS TOO GREAT OR SMALL… every bit helps!
